White lights begin to sparkle, spaced evenly just so, reminding me how it made you crazy as through the season I kept adjusting every glow. So many Christmases, shared together not in the distant past. Now each branch is set with sadness, full and firm stretching and revealing emotions of the season and my one and only concern - That overwhelming emptiness without you as I hold back the tears and memories and somehow still see that smile of the you I knew. I have the memory of the years shared in the past that is never lost, safe in my heart, protected by my soul's silent tears. With an open heart and joyous memories I’ll decorate the tree with ornaments recalling seasons of gifts and gratitude, laid lovingly beneath the Christmas tree. 12/10/17
