She is temperamental— Like An old pick-up truck. Speak sweet to her--rub the steering wheel She will take you from point a –to- point b. Curse and Swear--Rant and Rave… You will find yourself kicking tires & walking away. Some days she makes me feel like a scraggly, stray dog. Homeless and tired, wandering alone. She is a Beast—a loud, flashing bright light. I see her, I feel her—but others have no sight. She is selfish and avaricious-- Consuming my days & taking my nights. Never bothering to ask—if I have plans. Certain hopes-will not-be obtained. Picking and Choosing--Battles and Tasks, Maybe tomorrow--if just for the day. The fog will lift & rain will play.
