Freddie's Plight
Little Freddie ran confused, He wished their senses people used, His former owners dropped him off, And at him they did laugh and scoff. Freddie whimpered franticly, The car driving off he did see, The people did not really care, They dropped him off in no where. He hurried down the dirty street, Looking for something good to eat, His hunger raged in his mind, His owners left him behind. In despair he found a bush, The poor dog gave a push, And squirmed under the thicket, And sleep he at last met. The next morning he went mad, With fury that enters him when sad, He tore right into the muddy street, And went right under the horses feet. The fate of Freddie does seem strange, But look at a collie who roams the range, Or a heeler that runs in a wide pasture, When they have a wonderful master.
