Drowsily reaching over, you half expect he'll be there. But his pillow's all you find, and his scent sweetens the air. Death has brought grief to your door, but your tears have mostly dried. Yet, it wasn't that long ago that you stayed in bed and cried. You struggle with depression, willing yourself to get up. And clinging to normalcy, you drink from a half-full cup. You cage your raging anger; whenever it barks and nips. And stare at an old photo that brings a smile to your lips. Faith takes root within your heart, where it slowly starts to grow.
