The Wait of War
THE WAIT OF WAR (The Creed) I cannot do I cannot speak, all I can do is think And if I speak I’ll nowhere get, and this I much regret. In search for peace of soul and mind ..in time, I know I’ll find But while I search, man strives to stash, then awesome power unleash! The woes of war, the stealth of death, to these I make refer The pangs of pain, the fangs of fate, will not at all deter. The times we thought the grimes of greed were worst of all, by far The hour is come the crimes of creed where men cannot confer The ills, blood spills, the strife is rife, but still the Godly cheer The drive revived, the strength at length, shall rid men of all fear. The sweat will let, the strain, in main, but we shall shed no tear The cause is ours, no pause of course, we that are faithful, bear. 'Sic infinit; sic vita est' They leave their worst for best 'Contra malum infinitum' we that are truly blessed When all Creation has been killed, they’ll have their ‘dreams’ fulfilled So silent then, I will remain, to speak will be in vain!
