The Color of Your Heart
Pulling in close than pushing away, We go back and forth like this everyday, Knowing in my heart somethings going to give, Testing the waters before we jump in, Love seeping through those locked doors, Holding back both knowing we want more, The social stigma screams no it can't be, The noise so loud while the heart whispers to be free, In a crowded room it fights for truth, Haunting confused, not knowing what to do, Alone standing face to face, Love captures the heart and fills that space, Truth paints a picture no one can see, It comes back repeatedly, Black and white turns it's head, Touching the heart with color instead, We must ask the question, what's right? Who said? No matter how many times we ask, love brings us back again, The stigma will always try to blind our eyes, But our love will always stand strong inside, To live for the heart goes against the grain, But then what are we left with at the end of our days,
