Acidic Lie
over your bed of molten wax hover remnants of toxic black smoke I feel your heat beneath my feet feel my heart admit defeat and all that I am melts away as my bones turn an ashy grey I know you’ll be my confession in the aftermath of my obsession I walk on the trail of sin with my head buried in my chin I dissolve with guilt from within but your acidic lie keeps pulling me in into the intoxicating lust of poison in the deceitful eyes you’re imposing my shoulders now slouched over I surrender to your takeover and as I lie dying next to you your lustful eyes peering through the misty covers of your hair I bite the forbidden fruit of an affair ‘cos I walk on the trail of sin with my head buried in my chin I dissolve with guilt from within but your acidic lie keeps pulling me in and all those who know me don’t know who I truly be I try hard so, but it’s all in vain to flush you out of my veins... it's a self inflicted pain of losing all of my life's gain what I've deprived my true love when I cut myself into two halves ‘cos I walk on the trail of sin with my head buried in my chin I dissolve with guilt from within but your acidic lie keeps pulling me in 08-22-2015 Thabang J.
