Roy Stutters
The neighbourhood is strange There is little or no lighting He had it already mapped He had in mind all the routes He steps out into the night It's the middle of the night He heads towards the pub Unpredictable things happen Inside the pub that's playing Sweet but very loud music Roy gets naughty with a girl Dressed like a night nurse Yet she has a touch of class Our lady in white gets angry Her male companion offers Roy a drink.. its lost on the girl As she is plastered with wine It's lost on her that her buddy And Roy are best of friend's Roy patarkes his offered drink Straight from the packet into The wee hours of dawn Roy is now very friendly Towards this group Its not lost on them that Roy is very sober Roy toys with his golden bronze amulet Roy seem disturbed by an incident.. Roy still remembers it just two days ago When he almost lost his life.. he bears A wound from the war it's still fresh Though still no sensation of pain.. Roy stares ahead and wonders What the future has to offer... He thanks his buddies and walks out He goes back to his crib.. Its actually the crib of a friend At times like this life is very uncertain Seeming to move in slow motion Roy regrets having had to burn Burn... so many bridges Roy keeps cross referencing with the past The window of time he can't close or burn He is communing with his friends... Communing with his friends back at the pub We always called him wanda Roy For so loved him that exotic feel of linen CODE 254 Lewis Nyaga 1630HRS Luis Kay Selah
