In her words: “I’ve had no devastating event in my life other than death of family.” “Am I being selfish she ask?” “I’ve lived so long and I know I will die sometime of something.” “Was it wrong of me not to want surgery at my age and the pain and sickness of medical treatments that would prolong my life in an intolerable state?” I want to die with dignity at home in my bed with my family around me. I don’t want anything to heed my path to Heaven. Just keep me comfortable, warm and clean. Place a cool cloth on my fevered brow. Please don’t let your fear interfere with my leaving. My love for you is boundless. Please understand and let your love be the same. To love is to let go so I can return as your guardian angel. This tired old body is all that will be left behind.
