I don't smoke cigarettes, or drink so much An odd wine is all I take Saw a consultant he is baffled This silence is like a funeral wake So I touch an arm to be noticed I try to explain using my hands People jump when surprised by my forwardness Then they see the anguish, they understand I know when I try to talk it's a jumble Of noises making no sense at all So silent I will remain and so humble To talk is a most beautiful thing, I recall.
