If I Could
If I could I would lay down near an running brook, If I could, I would sit for hours in a field of grass, IF I could, I would sit under a watefall, let the water runneth over, IF I could, I would just set flight, to see over the cliff to get a better look. Walk, dont run laugh not be mean, its ok to cry, dont have to hide, My dearest friend, come walk with me, next to my side, not ahead, nor behind Never again do you need to wear that fake mask, you are only human, IF I could, I would, let go of my inner self, relinquish all my pain, Bow my head, inhale deeply, and fall asleep in natures splendor, For I know I will be safe from harm, for it is true that animals, love unconditionally, They only ask for love in return, their eyes reveal their inner soul, with them, you only have to be yourself, no conditions, no strings attached, no schedules to keep, just two arms to hug and embrace them always... If I COULD, I WOULD, love til it hurts, and find a reason to smile, for its been quite awhile.
