Between the Silence
After the first rain, clear , pungent and sweet In the crisp morning air I walk down my street I walk through aromas of ground coffee beans I walk through the scent of rising sour yeast , and oven-baked bread 's fresh wafting release. I stroll down the lane into blue orchid fields midst birdsongs ,old cedars ,and shrubbery trees In solitude I sit , arms wrapped around my knees Your lap not my companion, just me and the breeze The brisky breeze blows softly like your warm breath in my hair Taking me to moments , moments you were here. Those undisturbed moments , when our hands lightly brushed Where whispers became still to our parting lips 'slight touch Taking me to moments where in our thoughts We've known The three words weren't uttered, but our hearts have been shown..
