A Quenching Consumption
Craving for its taste, As I visualize the silhouette It would draw, if it only Were there, Its aroma, its beauty, and the captivation, A-h-h! How sweet! As I imagined it slithering on my lips, Gliding, sliding, as it slinks Around my arms, my legs, my hip… Submerging me with desire, with lust… As it burns like fire, it’s Something I admire… Damn my desire! Oozing in my mind, As it slowly seeps onto My skin; a heaven-like fantasy, As it soothes my flesh… Filling my head, my emotions, and My skin, my touch… It is a mirage .... Only a delusion, it’s not real … As I revived myself from it, Not wanting a shock from reality, Not wanting its nonexistent allure… “World peace…” That is it…Quenching thirsts, Planting sterile fields… Beauty is what it yields… A world of smiles… I long for it, In fact, planet earth longs for it… For its taste, for the complexity That emerges out of its simplicity… Does it exist? Well…no it doesn’t, For ignorance devours…
