No Grave
I am currently working on setting up this poem to music. I wrote this earlier this month at the piano. ---------- Taken from me in the night Beaten by cruel souls I was not there to hold you As Death came to console Now I hold you lifeless My heart sinks to the ground Misery still on your face Alone and never found No grave to rot in... No grave to rest in... Gone in moments, Gone in moments... and Missed forever... No more time to show you How much I really love you They tore you from my life The spirit from you flew I hold you in sobs Cradling memories of us together And your body disappears While I am blinded by my tears No grave to rot in... No grave to rest in... Gone in moments, Gone in moments... and Missed forever... No more goodbyes or hellos again... See these tears and rest now in them... As they fall into the misty oceans, Rest now in them... Rest now in them.... Rest now, my friend....
