I Know the Secrets, I Was Taught To See
Hey you sitting there, Smiling like you don't care I think I see something swimming behind your eyes What could it be? Should I ask? I already know it's lies Hey you, you said you sent me a birthday gift. You didn't have to do that. Oh, you got the wrong address? Here's my real one. Um, I guess you forgot all about it, lies Hey I thought I'd stop by on New Years Oh yes, we can talk about how nice I am to forgive You and your friends torturing me on the school bus But I remember it differently than you And then nobody dared to fight me again for years, so yeah, I forgive. Hey, Janet, I need to talk to you, Those words that carry so much weight, like a secret, So I wait, patiently, afraid, and you act like you never said it Then you hit me with it, like a brick thrown My family history has no bearing on me If it did then so would that screwed up docto my brothers friends dragging me to the closer, or The cigarette burns, scars that no one will knoknow Except the doctor that treated me and the snaky freak With the smokes who broke into my house to rape me But couldn't get hard to torrie me These things do not make me, they just leave scars And what my sister does has nothing to do with me or who I am.
