Orange Balloon
Just him and I with his orange balloon 2 tickets for every ride The ambiance played the strangest tune The crowds of children cried I secured the string around his wrist The helium would help me to find Just peace of mind to help assist Incase he were left behind My eyes were fixed on the orange marker That set him apart from the rest They quickly adjusted as it became darker False security led to my quest My eyes grew tired, the colors merged I couldn't tell orange from red My feet hit the floor, I was on the verge Of anxiety driven dread The crowd was mad and degenerate I was weaving in and out in a panic Not one soul was considerate Instead, they seemed volcanic The devil himself was there that night Jumping from shell to shell This once happy fair, became a fright I surly tasted hell A humble bench beside the restroom Supported a sleeping officer Awoken by me, his face turned gloom Not exactly a cheerful enforcer The darker the sky, the more vicious the swarm Of people becoming possessed The thunder growled, but produced no storm Evil at it's very best As I looked around for the second time The crowd had disappeared No happy ending for this rhyme Exactly what I feared No one spoke of an orange balloon Or the boy attached to it They say I fell into a swoon Devised a fit and threw it
