You'Re Always There
When my footsteps wander I know there's more that leads me back than I could ponder. When the way grows longer I know that as he leads me back I'm growing stronger. I know you're always there; you hear my every prayer: All I have to do is share my every little care. You're always here to show the way that I should go. Jesus I can never know what love brought you below. When I'm lost in nightfall And spirit shadows make me feel so very frightful I see a ray of light fall Down from the heavens, and it feels oh so delightful. Wide awake and turning I'm tossed by all the thoughts inside me churning. Father, I'm returning From on my knees the storm is stilled, and I am yearning Just to know you're always there; that you hear my every prayer: That all I have to do is share my every little care. To know you're always here to show the way that I should go. Lord Jesus, I can never know what love brought you below.
