And Sometimes
And sometimes I wonder What you might be wearing today Did you play your music Obnoxiously loud on the way To work Were all the windows down Sun warming your face & Wind whisking your hair & Super cool sunglasses Don't you wish on days like this You could drive with your eyes closed Did you feel rejuvenated today Starting to get a hold of yourself And did someone come and trample you down Just after noon Did you feel like a drink But consider that probably wouldn't Be enough So you just sat on the beach instead How many times did you blink today about what time do you start to stink and Did a memory just make you Laugh or cry How many times have you considered Starting new Trusting again, giving again And how many times has that left you empty Happy enough to live life But not to trust & Not to give I wonder if We would even talk Daily or Weekly or At all If we lived in close proximity I wonder sometimes How hard it would be To be without you
