My Husband's Best Friend
He made his unique and special mark in this world A journey through life that he alone could make. And the pain of his loss reverberates Like a heavy burden, and a deep well of sadness. Only the mysterious Almighty knows why this caring and kind man had to slip away. Our hearts are seared and weakened with grief A lovely widow is left behind in quiet sorrow. Those bright, intelligent eyes, coupled with mischief A ready smile, an ease with which he shared. A great love story between him and his bride And a deep faith and love for his Lord defined him. Someday we will meet again on the other side A glorious day, a new dawn, at the marriage supper of the Lamb. For those he has left behind, there is a wanting, a deep loss Yet hope and greater joy await us when we shall meet again Forevermore. Written on 4/12/2015 Dedicated to the memory of Dave Cantelon who passed into Glory on 3/21/2015
