Cry me a river cry me a river The change has arrived Where are all the heroes Heroes like jolting Joe D Hit the ball to outer space Running from first to Homeplate Kids cheering kids jumping Popcorn all over the place Heroes like Willie the say hey kid Billy ball billy ball The M an M boys Sultans of swing sultan of swat How phat oye Mira.. Hey look How bout that Clemente Shoot them down from right to home Yonder Pittsburgh way More fallen heroes like Malcolm X The black Knight an honest man The heart of of a lion mind of the times Heroes like che, Kennedy, King Munoz Marin mi gente con Dios My people with God I have a dream I have a dream There was no in between those mountain of men Women and song only fertile valleys rivers of plenty Millions marching converging on to DC Listening to those great orators speakers of the house Talking at the side of their mouth's Some getting pasted with tomatoes Some carrying signs America love it or leave it Gripes or rights you can call it either way In God we trust I trust no one oh no Mr. Bill Mr. bill duty calls I mean booty calls rump shakers call it what you will Keep passing those bills but I've had my fill Lost face lost my faith All the backstabbing taking place Down the Yellow Brick Rd ,East Coast West Coast Worldwide too So many avenues damn no where to go Searching for the Almighty buck All I'm getting is downright f**ked You see the more you make the more you want And the more you spend Welcome to the chain gang A vicious cycle on a long and winding road Leading nowhere let me pray to us all and say I decree I declare And stare at those fat cats with fat wallets Fat titles altered Egos Angels with dirty faces Profiting off the poor getting fat off the land While we live in misery die of malnutrition And loneliness Just forgotten In a compu age of gold neon and glitter A world full of great ideas gone bad Viewing this vast mirror of humanity Disemboweled by the jaws of corporate banks In the betterment of mankind Whom are we kidding Mercy Mercy me have mercy on our souls The reality is there are no heroes No fallen heroes Angels in disguise here Only moms who gave birth to us all Pops who worked hard to put food On the table and clothes on our backs Grandpops who took us to those games to watch those stars and falling stars of the day How about grandmama who read books to us all Made us laugh Held us tight when we cried from pain and hurt Showed us how to believe in ourselves from within Showed us that we can do anything We set our minds and hearts to do Taught us about faith in God Faith above all the hell we have to endure in life you see real heroes Don't sleep here on this earth The lord reigns Riding the winds Here there and everywhere..
