Business Trip
Holly from Ohio, Grey hair long, The lines of your life draw a map upon your face of a life lived to the fullest. Smoking early morning away with your cup of coffee in the Dallas sunrise and sweet Texas air. My new friend of Ohio Blue Jackets blood, History lessons abound, the hot Texas sun casts its steaming light upon us. Grandkids, Fathers, Mothers, Life's twists and turns. Great cup of Coffee with my new friend Holly from Ohio. Off to the flight, Not yet.....DELAYED DFW style with an EWR choke hold. Alan, Pharma-Manufacturer, comes in... He parks next to me... we realize as we look at the board we are both caught in the nightmare travel world of "not canceled", "Only Delayed", 65 Shaved head clean southern drawl, Alan from Fort Worth. Stuck at DFW We Grab a beer, we talk about kids, Grab another beer, Talk about our wives his ex...Grab the third and fourth beers, where I tell him I'm still married...to which he states "Stay that way kid" Boarding time now....tab paid Lonely travel avoided me on this business trip. Holly from Ohio with her long grey hair and Alan from Ft Worth, a happy southern man.
