Loved My Body
There were times in life I felt I couldn’t win. Then I considered numbing my pain with gin. I know it would’ve been a bad mistake. Even if it took all my troubles away. I grew up feeling good about the body I was in, But I also felt the pressures of trying to look thin. So I only had a hamburger every now and then. And I was back to salads and working out again. Loved my body ‘n I don’t feel less than anyone. Love my body though I don’t look like my friends. Over and over, I keep telling them again Stop criticizing; I am happy with my body. I may not be a size six but I know I'm fit. They were the ones who couldn't handle it. I saw it in all in their reaction. They didn't show me any compassion. It mattered how they made me feel. Still my thick curves were ideal. It didn't matter, what they believed. Or that they were trying to hurt me. Loved my body ‘n I don’t feel less than anyone. Love my body though I don’t look like my friends. Over and over, I keep telling them again Stop criticizing; I am happy with my body.
