Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required It's getting close to beddy-byes time And as I think back on the day It wasn't my best day ever but certainly not my worst But however I classify it, good bad or somewhere in between My worst day would surely be the absolute best day For the suffering peoples all over the world It's easy to forget how fortunate we all are To wake in the morning and not have that overwhelming fear Wondering if this will be my final day With the senseless fighting going on all around us We in the Canada can't imagine what it's like To be living in fear every single day with no sign of peace My heart goes out to all these poor souls Our greatest fear is missing Saturday Night Hockey on TV We don't realize what a privilege that is The wars in all the other parts of the world Are the furthest thing from our minds I suggest we pause and thank our lucky stars We live in a free, loving, peaceful country Can't help thinking though... when will it be our turn! © Jack Ellison 2014
