Finally, the time came to pass When the breaking up would last A quick divorce would do – no sorrows, only the truth Together, they didn’t linger on long good-byes Only shed a few tears and called a few times With no words, but only the mournful shreds Of evidence of the pain that would never quite leave Tears that tore at the souls… Of those two who had spent so many years Loving and living together in a dream world.
