Night
Night The stairs are dark And harsh on me but I just huddle there Its time for bed Rings in my head and I am full of fear You walk by me and Without a glance Indifferent to my Needs So i curl up there On those steps head Resting on my knees I’m afraid mama its Dark up there please Don’t make me go Theres a monster That visits me at Night though i Shouldn’t tell you So Ill go on up and in My bed i will tuck Myself in tight But i won’t sleep Cuz theres a monster That creeps into my Room at night Where are my Parents, why don’t You come up to check That i’m asleep If you ever did you Would see that i hid Under blankets where I weep Awakened in the dark Of night a hand over My mouth I must be silent and Pray to god to show Me a way out My eyes shut tight With all my might i Try to disappear The smell of sweat And heavy breathe is All that i can hear And when it’s done He sneaks away into The closet where he Lives And i just somehow Melt away into the Blackness that’s Within.
