The Meltdown
THE MELTDOWN. Like a dark cloud in a distant, It hung overhead for ages, Everybody saw it coming, Nobody was prepared for its coming. It came like a heavy down pour, Yet nobody went out with an umbrella. The height of human folly, Wishful thinking on the altar of reality. It started with an overwhelming intent, The desire to take blindly, An inordinate thought fuelled by greed, A choice that handed judgment on mankind. First the jar could only contain one hand, Soon more hands needed more cookies, Later the cookies couldn’t satisfy the hands. So the hands in the jar got stuck. Thus started the journey of squander, “Taking it all” dreams the winner, In its wake came shattered hopes, Slain dreams on the plains of avarice. Blame it on the bankers, Blame it on the politicians, Blame it on the immigrants, Blame it on the society but me. Dreams turned into illusions, Blames ,trading openly like stocks. Blue chip dreams trading for nothing. The result of mans misadventure. All hope is not lost thus no more blames, Since nobody is without blame, We can all fix that which is broken, It’s not too late to solidify that which we collectively melted.
