Rage Against the Machine
Around the floor in tatters lay Discarded tickets strewn The bell to mark the end of day Brought closure to the gloom.  At half past nine the mighty bull Charged in with a mighty roar Unleashing a surge of buying power Heard on every Wall Street trading floor The news of a rising market spread  Like wild fire on the tape Phones like up like Christmas trees Get in now, don't hesitate But at two pm the sleeping bear Was roused from a restless sleep Slower than expected retail sales Sparked a precipitous downward creep By three pm the damage was done And hope was quickly fading As brokers hands were securely tied By automatic computer trading Now all we could do was sit and watch An algorithmic trading system Meticulously hit every spiraling bid Absent old fashioned broker wisdom.
