No need to run or fight or cry For day is done ere it began In realms of pun that flavoured sigh; So do have fun dear solemn friend. Earth breeds this wood, and fire must burn Wood in sure air, as water cools Earth in fine mood that must in turn Cycle despair in knave and fool. Elements swing in fluid sure grace As if to tell the story set In fall and fling of time and space; Yes, we do well to feed and fret. So in-between this wax and wane, Each random show must surge and die A thousand dreams in life's sure lanes; Give up the glow as ashes ply. But now is here, and life goes forth Brave in empty yet sure and fiery; Passion finds sphere seeking true North Hazy, dimly, in the blurry. Indulge your feel in human stuff, The things that burn away the grime; Align and heal broken enough To quickly turn, go beyond time! For start is end, and ending starts; The circle set in cycle sure; All life thus trends to one pure heart The core where wet and dry crafts pure! For end greets start, and starting ends; The broken links joined once again In mind and heart in unknown blend The seamless think that now feels sane. Thus, time and space have come around To fill the form where noise pollutes; Love casts the pace in common grounds, That lively norm that thought includes. So on and on, and round and round, The seasons rush and tumble down; Movement beyond to spirit found In soul and trust, both smiles and frowns. Leon Enriquez 08 Apr 2014 Singapore
