The one name Rose is the older cousin. A throne she feels in her side when the younger cousin became part of her life. A relationship grew. She babysat Rose’s children. The younger cousin’s friend lied. Therefore, she became a thorn in Rose’s side. The thorn's worth is insight. Rose and her cousin lost like. They did not speak for quite a while. Today the lie is still a lie. Every Rose has its thorn is the theme of this poem with morale formed.
