Searching But Finding Nothing
I travel not to distant shores My home is close at bay My manners though rude are mine alone What more can this perfect man say? Perfect you laugh, you scoundrel and pest! Why beats thou your breast in haste? A bullet from my loaded pistol Will strike and you’ll be waste Waste that is thrown into the river And carried down yon way Perhaps the buzzards wait my friend As you’ve seen your final day A beast I’m called by many men But they cower and stand not and fight They do their bidding with other souls And maneuver in the darkness of night But how is it that you can’t find me? Though your party has searched many a year They go not close to my habitat Because in their hearts they really fear Yes, you talk but spineless you really are As still I ride and watch many fall Those cowards, those with no spine Are found when winter waters thaw You’re trembling, yes you’re trembling And what’s that? You’re begging now? And to think you used words differently While laying with that old sow You told her you would have my tongue All fried and ready to eat But now you’re pissing in your pants And it runs down past your feet Arise you coward and die like a man Or I’ll drag your death out real slow It matters not to me big boy As tonight your blood will flow
