Special Love
I’ll always remember the first time I saw you sweetheart - Despite being almost eight years now it seems like only yesterday… I saw you walk in - Standing there taller than everyone else - Our eyes met - Only for an instant - Those silver grey eyes of yours seemed to look straight into my soul - In those precious few seconds - time seemed to stand still - And I felt a strange warmth surround me - somehow I knew something very special had come to pass - This was something I never felt before - As I look back now…I realize it was “Love At First Sight” There are no other words that could explain what I felt then or now - It’s something out of a romance novel. I have seriously tried to stop lovin’ you Sharyl - I ran from it - It always seems to find me - All I have to do is see your face or hear your voice…And the love that I’ve ALWAYS felt for you - Which I’ve promised myself was gone - Comes crashing down upon me like a ton of bricks - And there I am caught in the web of your love - All over again - Both of us too proud to admit what we feel - Yet both of us smart enough to never want to lose - what we know is - Truly a special love.
