Where Have I Arrived
Once cast out, have I gained a little favor I won’t be proud now, I’ll stay humble All the tiny little moments of joy I savor Down the rabbit hole do I now tumble Hoping the fantasy land won’t crumble Yes unicorns, ferries, maybe a leprechaun This mythical land of play without pain A splendid spot for some feverous fun Quite an experience that I seek to gain Whatever little I have of trust I will train Seize the moment live in the here and now Forget about yesterday the past wont change The only problem is it seems I don’t know how To move on for me often seems so very strange A collection of random thoughts I now arrange One more travel I begin to the land of hope Traveling light only drifting through the space Here I do not think I will be allowed to mope Of self pity I cannot show even a single trace I take of my running shoes for this is no race There may be some long jumping only of trust To refuse that, is to abandon humanity for good Wind that had blown hard simmers to a tiny gust At the entrance for so long I waited like a hood Finally have some of my words been understood
