Box of Prayers
There’s work to do We must be on our way Souls to save all are waiting For my box of prayers I have a string tied around it And carry It with a stick It’s a lot easier when you walk The tracks to have it on a stick Things get tricky when a train comes Round the bend and you’re carrying it With both hands That’s why I have a string and a stick The sinners don’t care as long as I Can read them a prayer from heaven And receive their souls To be served up hot to go To Jesus our Lord Who runs a BBQ stand Down on 4th and Eldorado He lets me stand on his car sometimes So I can preach the words of Jesus Or just talk in tongues if I get the notion I know he is Jesus cause it says so on his Driver license and he has scars on his hands and feet. I love him so and he loves my box of prayers He says that God brought us together And if he was to have a sister I would be she Sister of Jesus…now ain’t that something?
