Get Out of My Heart
I lay, dripping, soaked within a dark sweat, seeing and hearing your soft voice abet. I want to run, to leave this merciless realm, but you pull me closer, without a choice at helm. Get out of my dreams. I miss you, but I hate you, every last memory. You taunt my every being, you’re all that I see. I see you in the crowds, or when I’m all alone. You’re here and there, on your heartless throne. Why couldn’t you stay? Get out of my life. I hear your laughter and see your beautiful smile. Once so beautiful, now helping others with guile. You’re now decayed, withering into shallow dust. I loved you so much, and never again will I trust. Get out of my head. Tears I weep, when others aren’t around to see – I remember the days, the months and years I bleed. I try to forget, and to hate you and your choices. But all I can hear are these damn forgiving voices. Maybe I am what you proclaim me to be. Was I really that monster, that demon you see? I hate what I love and love what I hate. I try to erase our past, and to claim it our fate. But I can’t let go, you’re all that I hear and see. I wished you could have loved, that loathsome “me”. Get out of my heart.
