Melted Down
It took eight and a half years You finally melted me down Dribbled me on the floor The liquification of me Not needed any more When I had started I was so strong I worked hours on end Was part of the team Took part in your dream Some how I got lost along the way To much heat every day Not noticing the signs Lost inside the lines Unable to comprehend No longer able to pretend Now I am a different shape Cooled within the mold Put on a press and rolled Up for auction and sold Left to the highest bidder Sold and more than bitter So the dance begins again Yet I am not the same More familiar with the game I will protect myself Refuse to be put on a shelf I will not be pushed aside Melted or undefined I am much stronger redefined My new armor is asbestos lined Meltdown Contest
