Hours of Twilight
Upon me, midnight has set in. I'm so tired of this path, ever leading, despair being engulfed. All I give, all unrequited , Loneliness I live. Within myself, the coming on Of confusion, ever present. Hours at the twilight, On top of my head. Circling vultures, crows, My eyes hath blinded my senses, Non so uncommon, abhorrent Visions, fleeting thoughts my own, Away from me, taken and inside Stolen love, found not ever, Not to be amidst Darkness, an old friend I shun. Beats at the hearts doorway. A key lost, lost forever With a absent door. Entry or exit, options not there. Will-O'- the -wisp, entrance to A labyrinth, which never Begins or shall not end. My heart, tucked away, Where only angels Can ever say that it was, I did once. Betrayed by self absorption, Passing swollen, Of my being those thoughts. Lies of love, contradictions among, Of long lost deceptions Of past. Taken by you, Not given upon to, Thief of my soul. Inside by chance, to you Never opened, no invitation given, No quarter asked or received of. At my misery, your smirking delight, Wind chasing futile yens Of caring you lack, The way becomes inchoate of What you were born To do not. Not to love, caring in that lie.
