Owl
I looked at my owl cup and this dribbled off my pen: My Owl Oh why are you assumed to be so wise? When do you only utter the question who? You rarely and barely fly and there is much to know Even in your barnyard world. Why always the question: who? There are wherefores and whens and whats, whiches and whys. For instance, why do you pose such a question as:: who? The why of it all is a more proper query Since the reconstruction of the event is the goal of all knowing. The science wants prescience Not so inconsequential a query as: who. You sit so inert on that limb - You toil not nor spin You swivel your head occasionally and blink - What evidence is there of wisdom? Wherefore and whence hast thou come? And what is it that you seek? Which is your preference - the yin or the yang But still, all you want to know is : who. I'm getting perturbed with you, my feathered fowl. You perplex me to the core I am befuddled and beset. Who am I - is that what you want to know I will tell you If you will but stop that insolent glaring I am the person to whom you so uncaringly ask That eternal conundrum : who.
