Goddess Supreme
Before the dawn of time recorded When history was not yet distorted I alone was the God of Earth Of all celestial stars of birth For from my womb did mankind grow The seeds of life I did bestow From my breasts flowed the milky way My silent stare made mountains of clay The Supreme God was female in face and form My emotions created both calm and storm Sadness brought tears to my eyes Thus rain fell heavily from the skies My anger flared and deeply burned And so the force of wind was churned Happiness brought the sun to shine To kiss the grapes, so sweet the wine For I am Hera, worshipped as God above Once solely, before giving Zeus my love Now in history, to him I am subjugated Preceived as a jealous shrew, who irritated The wrath of Hera now so widely known Instead of all the seeds I'd sown Power was mine to wield with hand I made the mistake of loving a man But for his crimes I sent many trials I simply did not believe his denials His son Hercules was proof to me Infidelity I could clearly see And so my wrath was angrily born A rift in power and time was torn Hades filled with those of misdeed The world was filled with jealousy and greed My eyes sent daggers, that turned into snakes Foam from my mouth spewed, forging lakes Rage so powerful shook my slender form Thus the mighty earthquake was born For every lie that was told to me Another soul was chained, unfree For I am Hera, God of this world My anger now has been unfurled Man had the opportunity to a life so sweet Instead he chose to just lie and cheat For his sins I have cast woe upon this land To endure is the destiny of every single man "Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned" This lesson man should have learned In Hades the fires of hate do burn As my wrath continues to twist and turn
