Night-The Rare Secrets of Night
When light rayed Helios pushed the brightness abroad; A mild and dim dark canopy fell upon the Earth, Followed, late evening’s crepuscular charm ahead, With the glistening moonlit beams that threw its mirth. The inner dispute of the mind slows down slightly, On the edge of dusk’s juncture, with hopeful Comer—the night that sets a sail lightly; To sleep the frozen Earth’s joyful soft soul. Night’s visions of tranquility slowly rolled above Me by the groovy silken silence, that prevailed Wisdom and by my casement, the starry beams rave, And thoughts start to sketch Nyx’s beauty,as I admired. Ha!the quaint, mystic smiles of night are well unlocked For the odd fancier to please by her calmness, And that halcyon state of musing, keenly touched Me,It has all of mind’s solid, restful access. My Fancy rolls gently unfurl like the feathers Of the song bird, yet on the secret vales of night, I sit,my song softly moves, concealed from next ears To hear, for the world to know it by the dawn’s light! Key Notes from Poet : Helios—(Greek mythology) ancient god of the sun; drove his chariot across the sky each day; identified with Roman Sol. Nyx—(Greek mythology) Greek goddess of the night; daughter of Chaos; counterpart of Roman Nox.
