I give these falsehoods whenever they may ask, But once alone and on my own, I remove my mask That reveals to the night a monster in my skin, One that comes to devour joy time and time again. The medication that I take only fortifies the wall That holds Him in, but it can never stop its fall. Once escaped, He then goes to hold hostage my mind.
