So Far the Miles
At nightfall when tenderness wakes somewhere between crumbs of feet, when gulls dive to taste the bay and foggy breeze flapping sweet. My eyes stroll on plays of pine where fireflies and moonbeams meet to cherish scent of good night’s day a purple bough spills hopeful treat come now the rhythm of blue night lay me down on feathers' bark oh, rock the leaves for just one touch so far the miles, bring wishes back I feel my winds call him, dear one on huffs upon my new bridal chest while gales croon a longing tune splendor of light, fill this request. As tides of passages scan the flights missing waltzes, I feign a rest captive in remains of rewinds, just one last sigh for war’s fierce test come now the rhythm of blue night lay me down on feathers’ bark oh, rock the leaves for just one touch so far the miles, bring wishes back ---------- : Kelly, my friend, your soldier will come home soon PD's Contest: Longing by nette onclaud
