Cries Unanswered
The cries of a child forever go unanswered, For no one has nor will they ever listen. A child faces you as tears glisten upon it’s wee face You look ahead passing the fondling children on the street You never meet their eyes cause then you can deny they exist. Even when they call out to you for help, Asking only for warmth and safety you’re death to their cries. You continue on pretending not to see them once again. So they return down the alley from whence they came, Here they search for food and a box to cover their little heads. One day a man comes by with a offer for both Being so young they do not realize what will be the cost. Only he knows the price he will ask is their innocence. The little girls and boys to follow him to his car. They climb and look back to the alley they use to call home. The hell they did live in they now leave it all behind. The man beside them hides his vile smile He knows these children will do all he demands To fulfill his wicked desires just to be kept feed and warm. These children who only wanted help and love shall never be seen again. For on one very fateful day they thought dreams did come true Only to wake and come to see their cries where heard but not by man For their cries where answered by a spirit of the damned.
