I Had No Intentions To Conquer
I had no intentions to conquer Never did, never will Bring myself to such subjugation From a such a miniscule empire Of self bloated beyond recognition Of love, or God's image again. Yet the more I surrender The more you became afraid Of the voluntary abandonment of power For what was there for you fight against When conflicts drained your energy Like a swamp, leaving you dry and absolete To the resignation of my grief. Love begins with you as my extension And all of us as the shadow of God It is a total deformation of self And such a sudden negation of being In the transition from I to newly compounded Us. We always shiver in the dawn But there was no map for sexual exploitation Desire is a natural thing like survival And the tomorrow of the world Let spontaneity and reverance take care of that I needed only a hand to hold A voice to tell me from beside the fire To open my eyes when the wave subsides And see you smiling still at my side I have no need to conquer me Already enslaved to echoes of desire Who did you think you were when you felt my lips If you keep the dream you will find no distinction Between my loving and your yearning so badly But then at the point of irrecoverable submission The fear of being conquered controls your tradition A man who conquers anything must carry More responsibility than love can freely own I need my wings to fly Not to hold to you and become static Do not speak now, I already know your fear For in that you found nothing in me to conquer You feared that failure meant you were already conquered By your need to love the transfigurement of being.I
