Epitaph
Would I be missed if I were gone? My name remembered for a moment long Would there even be a single tear? Does anyone have one to really spare? If I didn't exist would it be that bad? Could it possibly make anyone sad? For what accomplishments would be left behind Except a life full of much wasted time No great love to denote my stay Just another person who lost their way Only one heir and no other spare This was always my greatest fear For if he forgets me, who am I? Just another tombstone to walk on by I write words on a page for people to read The only way I can communicate my need I have this sense that I mean nothing much In the grand scheme of things as such Words on my grave will be written by me Simply saying that now I am free Yes, I guess I will be free at last Leaving the world my final task My epitaph to read "She lived and now she's dead" "There's simply nothing more here to be said"!
