Dust
It all hit me today The weight of what I've done Trapped for another year To face all as only one My heart is set to burst Under its constant strain I try to kill the hurt away But I can't escape the pain What have I just done... My future's bleak The only question on my mind Could I survive another week? I once had it all An empire to burn Now the flames have settled down Soon it will be my turn I try to close the hole That I myself had tore I look deep inside And see the casualties of my war I nearly made it out Alive and still so sane But the wounds have taken their toll And nothing is the same What is now to come... I'm growing weak Constantly being put down Forever lone and forever meek And you can take it all My empire of rust I will remain here Until I'm only dust
