Crest Wood
The fog is deep down in the hollow The mansion rests where know one will follow It"s widows walk now decrepit and rotten For a homeless girl it seems like a nice place to be forgotten She walks up to the creepy place With no expression on her dirty face As the wind whistles a howling sound She opens the door not knowing what would be found The mansion is dark but brightened by the moon She had heard all the stories but to her they all where untrue With no where left to go she would find out soon How the family that once lived there But had vanished one night heard to be taken by the air Tails of vengeance and deceit, that led to there disappearance Or had they been eaten for meat None of these whims scared her for the place to her seemed so sweet A child"s base ball begins to roll slowly down the stares the fear then consumes her As her ears hear all the tears Voices begin to urge her to leave She starts to shake as the floor beneath her starts to quake She falls to the floor lifeless in fear Crest Wood Manor claims another life this year Written By Author Joseph Adam Burchett 1/26/12
