I like the way they stare everything downcold the way they battle and batter the bottom of boats, slime boots, tip tackleboxes-spill gems all over the rhythm of your next half hour. spit hooks at the tender side of thumbs then blast you with a comical grunt. i especially like when they make you pay more than the price of the hole that you put in their face. Carp never gives up until you release them, or offer them to poor people and their smokers, who cuss, then swear the meat is better than steak... poor people who'll never invite you over for a tender carp dinner, because they know you'll never dine with bottom feeders.
