The Open Gate
There is a city beyond the open gate, which is sure to be worth the wait. To once again see loved ones we’ve lost, will be well worth the cost. Imagine a place without any tears or pain, but simply eternal blessedness to obtain. No more trials or worries of life, nor temptations of sin and strife. Free from all agony and defeat, the risen savior we’ll finally meet. All that is wrong will be right when we see his glorious light. What a beautiful sight to see, when in his presence we’ll forever be. A path so narrow that it is hard to find, unfortunatly many will be left behind. All my earthly treasures I’ll freely give, in exchange for an eternal life to live. I’ll live each day as if it is my last, until my time on earth has past. Hopefully those who knew me will be there, for his word I tried to always share. To be home at last will be great, when someday I walk through that open gate.
