Trees
Trees that stand so tall Over my head they look down Down on me and my broken heart Here I stand holding the remains in my hands Hoping the trees can help me Like they have helped so many times before I always walk through these woods when my mind is lost When I'm hurt and confused I'd ask for their help And they would show me the way They would speak to me so softly But this time they just stand tall They say nothing They look down on me As the tears fall from my eyes He hurt me so badly My life will never be the same I scream out "I want to die! Please just help me...somebody...anybody" They stand tall I fall to the ground at their feet My heart shatters on the ground It will never be able to be fixed now I just lay there in the leafs of the trees Then I hear a voice A voice of a boy He looks me in the eyes and asks "Are you ok?" He holds out his hand to help me up The trees stand tall and look down at me with a smile And I say "thank you" The trees helped me once again
