The Invasion Pt2
Encased in the spheres were hideous creatures of biblical account Eight legs with a scorpion sting that made you spew your guts out The spheres raced along a few inches off the ground As they harvested the humans that ran riot all around The creature would sting them then wrap them up tight I could not tell if people were disintegrated or beamed aboard as they were zapped with a bright light We watched from the window trembling with fear As the creatures claimed their victims, they were drawing nearer. I hid my son and my wife in a large metal bin, But the creature in the sphere found them there in. Believe me I tried to fight with all that I had, But my hands passed through the sphere, the last thing I heard was my son screaming Dad! I woke up in a cubical, I could not move, As a creature approached wearing a mask and a hood. Encased in a sphere it cut open my abdomen and chest, Removed my stomach and lungs, closed me up without a scar or a rip in my vest. I thought this is it, we here for spare parts, But I didn’t die and noticed I had two hearts. The cubical rotated until I was facing the floor, There were millions of us laying side by side as these creatures came into the ship that didn’t seem to have a door. The ship was transparent as we all could look out, Helpless as they harvested others fearfully running about. Then the ships suddenly took off as there was a massive explosion, The governments used nuclear bombs to destroy the enemies that caused this commotion. Earth was destroyed by a massive nuclear attack, That was the last thing I saw before I found myself laying on my back. The emotions, the thoughts of my wife and my sons, Their face amiss in my mind, my mind screamed for the loss of my loved ones. Then I fell asleep just as the ship entered a black hole, I felt all that I know, that I love, die in my soul.
